Here is a really nice array of predominantly 1957 Topps Baseball, a group that is essentially Ex-Mt to Near-Mint, headlined by a great card of our newest Hall of Famer, Minnie Minoso, plus a lengthy list of the great stars from that classic set. The array of 75 cards also includes nine cards from the difficult Middle Series in 1957, the first year that Topps produced cards in the now-standard 2 ½-by-3 ½-inch format. In addition to the largest group from 1957, there is a handful of cards from 1958 and 1959, with details at the end of this listing. The 1957 array comes out to roughly 41 percent Near-Mint and 51 percent Ex-Mt, with just eight percent below. The breakdown: 1957 Topps (75) – Minoso – Excellent, League Presidents – Ex, Lemon – VG-Ex, Braves Team – Near-Mint and Pirates Team – Ex-Mt, plus Adcock, Aguirre, Antonelli, Arroyo, Bailey, Clete Boyer, Ken Boyer, Buhl, Craig, Crandall, Goodman, Larsen, Lary, Malzone, Mueller, Newcombe, Nuxhall, Podres, Post, Sanford, Shantz, Sievers, Tanner, Thomas, Triandos, Vernon and Virdon; 1958 Topps (4) – No. 356 (Fair), 367 (Excellent, mk), 430 Thomson – VG-Ex and 437 – Ex; 1959 Topps (3) – Excellent to Ex-Mt, Nos. 291, 299 and 323.
