This is easily one of the largest auction lots we've ever offered, an array so massive it defies easy description, but we are going to try. Start off with dozens of regular-issue Topps, Fleer, Donruss and Upper Deck complete sets, mix in a huge array of unopened boxes of wax and cello packs and toss in a huge pile of boxed sets and you’ve at least got a hint. By our admitted rough count, it comes out to 28 regular-issue sets, 15 boxed sets and five opened boxes, plus about four dozen loose packs and 150 or so loose cards. Whew! It’s the kind of old-fashioned lot that begs for a good deal of close examination by bidders and similarly begs for forgiveness from the postman. As might be expected, virtually all cards are essentially as issued, mostly Near-Mint to Mint or better, with certainly a few Near-Mint or perhaps the odd Ex-Mt. Here’s the breakdown as best we can manage it (all elements are baseball unless otherwise indicated and sets are complete, with exceptions noted) Regular-issue Sets and Unopened Boxes: 1981 Topps set, 1982 Topps sets (4) – but Ripken Rookie missing from two of the sets, 1982 Donruss set, 1984 Donruss set, 1985 Fleer sets (2), 1986 Topps set, 1987 Topps sets (2), 1987 Topps Tiffany unsealed set – box is Good, 1987 Donruss sets (3), 1988 Topps factory set with original cellophane, 1988 Topps sets (2), 1988 Fleer factory sets (3), 1989 Donruss Factory set, 1990 Topps Cello Box (24 count, 43 cards) – box is Very Good with small tear, 1991 Upper Deck wax box in original cellophane (36 count, 15 cards), 1991 Upper Deck Football wax box in original cellophane (36 count, 12 cards), 1992 Topps factory set (2) – one in original cellophane, 1997 Topps Series Two box (28/36 count, 11 cards),1999 Topps set, 2002 Topps set and 2018 Topps Series One box (31/36 count, 10 cards); Boxed sets: 1982 KMart set, 1985 USFL near set, missing keys – box is Poor, 1987 Fleer Update (2), 1988 Topps Traded, 1989 Score Supplemental, 1989 Score Rookies, 1989 Topps Debut, 1990 Score Superstars, 1990 Score Rookies, 1990 Donruss Rookies, 1991 Score Rookies (3) and 1991 Topps Traded in original cellophane; Loose wax packs and cellos (some of the earliest Topps packs are a little rough): 1980 Topps Wax (2), 1981 Fleer Wax (3), 1982 Topps (2) – Good, 1984 Topps Supers (2), 1985 Topps Wax (Fair), 1985 Fleer Action Football Wax, 1987 Topps Cellos (2), 1987 Donruss Wax, 1988 Topps Cello, 1989 Fleer Wax packs (2), 1990 Fleer Football Wax, 1990 Pro Set Football Wax, 1991 Stadium Club Wax packs (18), 1992 Stadium Club Wax, 1992 Leaf Wax (3) and 1994 Action Packed Minor League Wax; 2020 Topps Project 2020 Art Cards in sealed holders (9), including Brett (2), Clemente (2), Henderson (2), Mays (2) and Koufax; and Miscellaneous 150 or so additional loose cards, mostly 1991-92 Stadium Club.
