Presented is a genuinely intriguing group or artifacts linked to the personal collection of Hall of Famer Henry Aaron, an array of yearbooks, a scorebook, a Lineup card and several commemorative tickets, all in virtually as-issued condition and simply percolating with history. The items include 1970 and 1974 Atlanta Braves Yearbooks (Ex-Mt-Plus), a Braves Scorebook from 1974 that is scored inside by members of Aaron’s family, an Official Lineup Card from 1972 and several commemorative tickets or stubs, with two Ex-Mt stubs linked to Aaron’s 65th birthday celebration in 1999 and two other “Proof of Attendance” souvenir tickets from his 500th and 600th milestone home runs (Near-Mint). The June 26, 1972, Braves Lineup card is 5 ½-by-7 inches and nothing short of outstanding with Manager Lum Harris’ elegant cursive, and, of course, his signature; a 1993 Henry Aaron Record Book is a 5 ½-by-8 ½-inch souvenir piece in black-and-white and 16 pages with photos, text and statistics (Near-Mint). All the pieces were part of a cadre of items from Aaron’s personal collection, with many gifted by the great slugger to his longtime personal assistant, Susan Bailey. A copy of a Letter of Authenticity from Bailey accompanies the lot, along with a Bailey/Aaron hologram that is affixed to the pieces.
