Presented is a spectacular array of mostly modern basketball cards from virtually every major manufacturer, a group that includes HOFer accumulations, a vast group of unopened boxes often in original cellophane, and literally hundreds of loose cards, with most arriving in essentially as-issued condition, Near-Mint to Mint or better. With modern cards mostly from 1989 and into the new millennium overflowing in an old-time auction lot, it’s the kind of assortment that begs for a good deal of close scrutiny. Here’s the breakdown: 1) 1970 Topps (9) – mostly Very Good, including Cunningham, White, Reed and West; 2) 1981 Topps (65) – with 30 Hall of Famers; 3) 1986 Fleer (39) – with six Hall of Famers; 4) 1987 Fleer (210) – with 15 Hall of Famers and six Stickers; 5) 1988 Fleer (250) – with 43 Hall of Famers; 6) Hall of Famer single-player groups (81) of Charles Barkley (50), Jason Kidd (16) and Grant Hill (15), largely Excellent or Ex-Mt to Near-Mint with some below; 7) NBA Superstars Group (112), including David Robinson, Stoudamire, Weber, Larry Johnson, Stackhouse, Rider, Mashburn, Wallace and Rodman; 8) 1989 Fleer set (168) – plus five Stickers of Olajuwon, Magic, Ewing, Malone and Barkley; 9) 1989 Hoops Wax Boxes (2) – pristine boxes, 36-count, 15 cards; 10) 1990 Fleer Wax Boxes (2) – pristine boxes, 36-count, 15 cards; 11) 1990 SkyBox Wax Boxes (2) – one in original cellophane, 36-count,15 cards – plus 118 loose cards; 12) 1990 Topps Set (396) – in original cellophane; 13) 1991 Upper Deck Factory Set (500) – in original cellophane; 14) 1 993 Upper Deck Wax Box Series II – in original cellophane, 36-count, 12 cards; 15) 1995 SkyBox Premium Wax Box – in original cellophane, 36-count, 15 cards; 16) 470 loose cards from different manufacturers; and 17) 1998 Upper Deck Michael Jordan Can ‘O Cards (1) – Near-Mint, unopened. Whew! That’s a lot of cool stuff.
