Here is one of the true prewar rarities, the unique matted cabinet photos issued by a Chicago bakery that were redeemed from coupons found in their products with the inclusion of a thin dime, which wasn't all that thin in Depression Era 1938. Matted in a heavy cardboard in elegant maroon, the cabinets measure to 4 ¾-by-5 ¾ inches, with the attractive black-and-white photography image size approximately 3-by-4 inches. The roster includes three important Cubbies from their National League Champions club – Billy Jurges, Augie Galan and Frank Demaree – in Very Good condition. That is a highly collectible range for one of the truly difficult issues from the period.
