Presented is a near set from one of the great Topps baseball issues from the 1950s, the coveted and colorful 1959 Topps set, found here in largely Excellent to Ex-Mt condition, with some above to Near-Mint and below mostly to Very Good. Missing the No. 50 Mays and a couple of commons, the near set is headlined by slabbed versions of No. 10 Mantle (PSA 3.5) and the No. 564 Mantle All-Star – PSA 5. The near set has some condition anomalies in that many cards are cut a bit larger than the requisite 2 ½-by-3 ½-inch dimensions, and a similar number come up noticeably short. This is a nice set when viewed card by card, but count on much of this set being met with a "Minimum Size Requirement" or "Miscut" result if submitted to PSA. The key Gibson Rookie was assessed as Evidence of Trim and the Clemente card as Miscut.
