This is a simply stunning example of the classic 1965 Topps Baseball issue, offered here in an overall condition that is nothing short of sensational, a solid and consistent Near-Mint or better offering, with literally dozens of cards reaching to Near-Mint to Mint status and perhaps a handful falling below to Ex-Mt. Three keys have been third-party graded: the No. 16 Morgan Rookie – PSA 4, No. 160 Clemente – PSA 3 and No. 350 Mantle – PSA 3. It is easily one of the nicest sets we've handled of the elegant, with superb color and gloss that nicely showcases the color-coded backgrounds that uniformly represented the various teams. The extra 300 or so cards are in a condition range perhaps a rung below the near set, probably Excellent to Near-Mint, with some below and the emphasis to Ex-Mt. The list of duplicates includes some of the key Hall of Famers, like Koufax, Mathews, Marichal, the Murakami Rookie card, Spahn and the No. 8 League Leader. The three missing cards are No. 4 League Leaders, No. 207 Rose and No. 477 Carlton Rookie.
