Presented are 7,920 Topps Baseball cards looking precisely as God intended, which is to say Near-Mint to Near-Mint to Mint, with incredible color and gloss and super-sharp photos depicting everyone from Cal Ripken’s coveted Rookie to Ryan, Brett, Schmidt, Jackson, Rose, Bench, Yount and the rest of the gang who helped make the 1980s such a glorious decade. These are simply wonderful cards, boasting the coveted “vending bend” that so stridently bespeaks of uncirculated cardboard. And just to show you that we looked quite carefully at the group, one of the No. 21 Ripken Rookies winds up with an Excellent grade. Let’s call it the stutter that accents the eloquence.
