Here’s the coveted Milwaukee Braves Press Pin from the club’s historic 1957 World Series when the newcomers from the Midwest prevailed over the legendary Yankees squads of Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra, Whitey Ford, et al. The offered pin is in simply outstanding condition, presenting nearly as it must have at issue, with vivid red enamel crown and crisp, strongly delineated engraving of the bronze Braves figure. The appropriate “Balfour” stamping appears on the back of the pin at the bottom; the delicate threaded post is intact and works famously. Hard to imagine finding a more pristine example of this key historical Milwaukee Braves artifact, the pin that celebrated the club’s sole World Series title in the team’s abbreviated and ultimately heartbreaking 13-year stay in the Midwest.
