Presented is a rare opportunity to pick up a highly collectible grouping of the coveted Hartland Statues from 1958-62, the 8 ½-inch plastic figures that were sold at ballparks and retail stores around the country and have been a hobby mainstay for more than six decades. The high-grade array features 12 of the 18 statues, plus the quaint Batboy figure; most of the figures are able to stand without difficulty and any instances to the contrary are noted. The breakdown: 1) Aparicio – Near-Mint-Plus, with superb painting – toeplate included; 2) Banks (2) – Near-Mint and Ex-Mt, with the Nr-Mt example missing the bat and the Ex-Mt version with the bat included but will require some tinkering to aid in standing; 3) Berra – Ex-Mt, with the mask and boasting outstanding paint job; 4) Colavito – Near-Mint, with bat and toeplate, wonderful paint job but a bit wobbly in standing; 5) Drysdale – Near-Mint, superb painting, cream-colored statue with rubber and toeplate (pitching rubber not original); 6) Fox – Near-Mint, with outstanding painting with light toning; 7) Mathews – Ex-Mt, 8) Musial – Near-Mint, sharp painting, no bat; 9) Snider – Near-Mint-Plus, vivid and glossy painting, with bat, with some toning; 10) Spahn – Near-Mint, excellent painting; 11) Williams – Near-Mint, with bat; and 12) Batboy – Near-Mint. It should be noted that in instances of a broken or missing bat, replacement replicas are easily obtained on the Internet.
