This is a super clean, consistent and uniform example of the unique 1981 Topps Basketball issue, basically Nr-Mt or better blazers, essentially as-issued cards with nine of the key Hall of Famers slabbed that provide a nice glimpse into the wider condition range, including several Near-Mint to Mint and even Mint cards. These cards are essentially problem free, with vivid colors, exceptional gloss and sharp photos. One of the more unusual arrangements for a Topps Basketball issue, the 1981-82 set consists of 110 cards, plus additional 44-card runs of Nos. 67-110, constituting a master set with the East, West and Midwest groupings. Breakdown of slabbed keys: No. 4 Bird – PSA 8, No. 20 Abdul-Jabbar – PSA 9, No. 21 Magic – PSA 8, No. 30 Erving – PSA 8, No. 75 McHale Rookie – PSA 8, No. 101 Bird Super Action East – PSA 8, No. 104 Erving Super Action East – PSA 7, No. 106 Abdul-Jabbar Super Action – PSA 7 and No. 109 Magic Super Action West – PSA 9. This is a wonderful specimen of a master set of one of the company’s most unusual set configurations.
