Here is an impressive artifact from that historic 1955 campaign when next year finally arrived in Brooklyn, the charming 8 ½-by-11-inch Golden Stamps magazine, which features 32 full-color Stamps picturing the legendary Hall of Famers and stars from that World Series-winning season. The 32-page magazine, published by Simon and Schuster, includes the two pages of unperforated stamps (16 on each), with the magazine in Very Good-Plus condition, and the stamps essentially as issued and without any visible difficulties. The lineup of players is as spectacular as the ballclub itself, including the likes of Jackie Robinson, Duke Snider, Pee Wee Reese, Sandy Koufax, Roy Campanella, Gil Hodges, Walt Alston and Tommy Lasorda, plus important stars Carl Erskine, Carl Furillo, Jim Gilliam, Sandy Amoros, Joe Black, Billy Loes, Russ Meyer, Don Hoak, and even the batboy, Charlie “The Brow” Di Giovanna, and a Stamp of Ebbets Field.
