This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 7/21/2022
Here’s a massive, messy array of mostly modern baseball, a group headlined by a nifty lineup of slabbed 1980s Topps Rookies, an even heftier roster of pristine raw Rookies, and then the eclectic nature really kicks in: a huge Milwaukee Brewers collections with more than 300 cards from the club’s heyday with Robin Yount (25) and Paul Molitor (67), a pristine group of as-issued Upper Deck Los Angeles Angels Team sets and then topped off by an enormous grouping of nearly 500 cards from mostly 1990 and beyond. That last assortment includes literally hundreds of Hall of Famers and so many different genres and manufacturers that we threw up our hands. Along with the high-grade slabbed subset from PSA, the vast majority of the raw infidels is nonetheless in similarly outstanding condition, typically as issued and often in the original cellophane and wrapping. It’s an old-fashioned style auction lot, loaded with value and just begging for a good deal of close examination. We'll do our part with a comprehensive listing; 1) 1980s Rookies (mostly) from Topps and Fleer (68): 1981 Topps Baines Rookie No. 347 (7, one is PSA 8), 1981 Topps Murphy No. 504 – PSA 7, 1982 Topps Ripken Rookie No. 21 (3, with two slabs – PSA 8 and PSA 7), 1982 Topps Barfield Rookie No. 203 (22), 1982 Topps Bell Rookie No. 254 (10), 1982 Topps Jackson No. 300 (2) – PSA 9 and PSA 8, 1982 Topps Smith Rookie No. 452 (2) – PSA 8 and PSA 7, 1982 Topps Jackson All-Star No. 551 (2) – PSA 7, 1983 Topps Rookies (5) of Gwynn (3), Sandberg and Boggs, 1983 Fleer Gwynn Rookie No. 360 (5), 1984 Fleer Strawberry Rookie (4) and 1985 Topps McDowell Rookie No. 400 (5); the 1980s Brewers section includes (15) Robin Yount Topps cards from 1978-86, a total of (57) Molitor Topps cards from mostly Topps from 1980-87, 1983 Brewers Police Sets (3) and a single 1988 Brewer Police Set, plus a large array of pristine 1992 Brewers Delicious Cookies cards (170), with typically five or more cards of each player, including eight Molitor's and 10 Younts; the 1989 Upper Deck Los Angeles Angels Team sets (19), in original cellophane packaging; plus the final potpourri section as described at the top of this listing, a truly intriguing assortment of odd and ends, plus a total of (240) of the 1981 Topps Scratch-Offs and a pair of 1987 Donruss unopened packs, this last duo admittedly not quite as pristine as the rest of the gang, probably closer to VG-Ex. All in all, it’s a really neat assortment that will take one lucky winning bidder the better part of a week to wade through.
