Here’s a late 1980s Philadelphia Phillies home pinstripe knit jersey attributed to speedster outfielder Jeff Stone and later in 1988 to Tommy Barrett, who took over the No. 14 after Stone was traded. Shirt has the six-button front with 1 1/16th-inch maroon braid running from neck to sleeve end and from underarm to tail. Single-color maroon polytwill adorns the numerals and NOB, with the latter on a white plate with no pinstripes, with plate affixed in loose zig-zag stitching. The Rawlings Mini-print logo appears on the right sleeve and the Phillies team disc patch on the left. Rawlings Size 42 labeling is at the collar with “Set 1 1988” flap tag and “Stone” in maroon swiss embroidery on a white swatch; probability is that the shirt was worn at least in spring training, showing minimal wear. Stone was traded to Baltimore on March 21, 1988.
