This is an outstanding home Rangers button-down knit jersey with attribution initially to Coach George Susce and changed to No. 49 in 1973 for Charles Hudson, a journeyman hurler who pitched for three teams in three seasons in the 1970s. The shirt has red/white/blue collar and matching sleeve trim, with seven-button front and the beautifully styled and uniquely fonted “Rangers” in Barnum & Bailey circus font style. The original name of former major league pitcher and coach “Susce” has been covered by a nameplate and name “C. Hudson.” The jersey back had No. 43 on initially in 1972 and changed to No. 49 for Hudson. It has the Wilson Size 48 label and “72” year swatch in blue chain-link stitching.
