For the Chicagoland faithful, here are four Cubbies game-worn jerseys from mostly batting practice or spring training in the 1980s, with a couple linked to some well-known Cubs figures from the past. We'll try this in a rough chronological order: 1) Cubs mesh royal-blue batting practice or spring training jersey, ribbed knit with V-neck collar and matching ribbed-knit sleeve-end accents, with Cubs logo on the left chest. Attributed to Cubs hurler Steve Trout, the shirt has a heavily faded Majestic label at the collar.; 2) Cubs mesh royal-blue batting practice or spring training jersey, with stretch-ribbed knit V-neck collar in blue and white, with matching sleeve-end accents. With attribution to Darrin Jackson in 1985 and Chico Walker in 1986-87, the jersey has Wilson Size 42 labeling at the collar and shows solid wear, with the royal-blue mesh exhibiting significant fading.; 3) Cubs late 1980s home pinstripe minor-league or home camp jersey, without specific player linkage, is a white double-knit with 7/8-inch V-neck solid-blue collar and matching 1 ¼-inch sleeve-end accents. It has the Cubs print logo on the left chest and Wilson Prestige tail label, Size 40, with washing instructions flap tag. Shirt reveals solid wear, with some label puckering and slight fading on the V-neck and sleeve-end trim, as well as on the No. 35 royal-blue tackle twill numerals.; and 4) Cubs royal-blue mesh batting practice or spring training jersey without player attribution, with stretch-ribbed knit collar V-neck in blue and white, with sleeve-end accents in the same fashion. The No. 67 is in white tackle twill; shirt reveals obvious number change with the original not decipherable but No, 67 would have been issued to a non-roster player at camp.
