Presented is a neat group of four folk-art pieces depicting four baseball stars, with charming color representations of players that are clearly vintage, though it is difficult to pinpoint a specific year. The artwork is quaint and disarmingly attractive, with depictions of the four players on heavy plywood board that are each about 10 inches in length, and ¼-inch thick. The four featured players are Germany Schaefer, Joe Gordon, Bob Porterfield and Bob Turley. The pieces present in Ex-Mt fashion, revealing only the barest few tiny nicks and some light staining, none of which remotely detracts from the presentation. Similarly unobtrusive: each player has a small hole directly in the middle of his chest, clearly part of the original design and presumably part of a wider design element to secure the pieces.
