Presented is a truly extraordinary array of official team documents from the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers (and about a dozen Bucks), with all three assortments touching upon many of the key moments and figures in the storied histories of both beloved franchises. The vast assortment of Packer PR documents run from primarily 1981 through the end of the millennium, and include such notables as the naming of Mike Holmgren as head coach in early January of 1992 (two pages) and the acquisition of Brett Favre one month later. Almost all of the documents are on official Green-and-Gold Packers stationery, and include various injury reports, rosters, upcoming schedules, acquisitions, game stats, balance sheets and more; documents are mostly 8 ½-by-14 inches, with some in the standard 8 ½-by-11 inches. In the breakdown that follows, numbers are approximate – Green Bay Packers (165): 1981-88 (54); 1991 (22); 1992 (26); 1993 (17); 1994 (30); 1998-99 (5); Milwaukee Brewers (75) on official team Blue-and-Gold letterhead, most 8 ½-by-11 or 8 ½-by-14 inches – including a 1982 World Series Data Sheet, the 1983 trade of Manning and Thomas, 1984 and 1986 documents relating to the return and retirement of George Bamberger, among others: 1983 (22); 1984 (18) and 1985 (4), plus 10 miscellaneous others (Brewers 2-by-6 ¼-inch decal) and the dozen Milwaukee Bucks documents. All in all, the assortment represents an absolute gold mine for serious Wisconsin historians and collectors, a once-in-a-lifetime chance to pick up material with the official team imprimatur detailing seasons historic and sometimes otherwise, but all memorable and important.
