An Excellent condition Joe Gordon No. 210 highlights an uncommonly nice condition array of High-Number cards from the 1949 Bowman Baseball issue, the company’s second year in the baseball card business and its initial inclusion of color elements to their productions. This grouping of almost three dozen cards is noticeably stronger than this issue is typically found in older collections, with about 2/3 of the array Ex-Mt and almost 1/3 Excellent, with just two cards below. The breakdown: Ex-Mt (22) – No. 147, 157, 160, 167, 169, 171, 173, 178, 181, 189, 192, 193, 195, 196, 204, 206, 208, 215 o/c, 217, 218, 234 and 235; Excellent (10) – No. 165, 182, 183, 201, 202, 210 Gordon, 216, 236, 237 and 239; and VG-Ex (2) – No. 197 and No. 223.
