Presented is an intriguing array of cards from two of the classic 1950s baseball card issues, the elegant 1951 Bowman set and the unique, all-artwork 1953 Topps classic, with the array broadly Good to Very Good condition, with some below and a handful above the range. There is some duplication to the group, most prominently with 1953 Topps, with much of that information detailed in the entry that follows. The 1951 Bowman lineup (61) includes almost two dozen cards from the difficult high series, along with a number of important cards depicting some of the great stars of the era. That designation includes: Piersall Rookie (Fair), Henrich (2), Sewell (2), Reiser, Avila, Keller, Jansen, Garcia (Ex-Mt), Garagiola Rookie, Sisler, Seminick, Kell (Very Good), Raschi and Blackwell. Breakdown of 1953 Topps keys (200) – Bell, Bruton, Cerv, Dark, Dressen, Garver (2), Groat, Hutchinson (2), Kell, Loes (2), Logan (2), Pierce (2), Newsom, Nuxhall, Parnell, Runnels (2), Sauer, Walker and Williams. Some of the notable 1953 Topps duplication numbers: Borkowski (3), Lowrey (3), Kennedy (3), Hatton (5), Gray (4), Staley (5), Drews (4), Jones (3), Ryan (3), Wehmeier (5), Priddy (4), Gordon (4), Sisti (3), Connelly (6), Mizell (3), Lown (3), Coan (5), Rosen (4), Heintzelman (4), Dorish (3), Hamner (4), Grasso (4), Shea (6), Hoeft (3), Bishop (3), Clark (3) and Greengrass (3).
