Presented is an imposing group of mostly Topps and Bowman baseball from the glory years of the 1950s, cards that touch upon some of the most famous and coveted card issues of the modern era, with an array that includes more than a dozen Hall of Famers and a host of stars and Specials. A 1955 Topps Ted Williams probably headlines, along with almost three dozen cards from the iconic 1952 Topps issue and a 1956 Topps Aparicio Rookie. Here’s the breakdown – cards are broadly Fair to Good from 1952-56, with some above the range, and then a bit better in 1957 and beyond, closer to Excellent, with some above to Ex-Mt and some below: 1952 Topps (32) – mostly different, including Spahn, Doby, DiMaggio, Pesky and Stanky; 1953 Topps (10) – including Wilhelm and Schoendienst; 1954 Topps (10) – including Doby and Al Smith; 1954 Bowman (28) – including Doby, Lemon and Rizzuto (Poor); 1955 Topps (4) – including a Good condition Ted Williams; 1955 Bowman (3); 1956 Topps (23) – including Aparicio Rookie (Good), Wilhelm, Roberts, Wynn, Black and the Cardinals Team card; 1957 Topps (66) – including Aparicio, Minoso, Power and Boyer (2), plus five cards from the difficult Middle Series; 1959 Fleer Life of Ted Williams (26) – a bit nicer, mostly Excellent to Ex-Mt, with some below, and including a No. 2 Ted & Ruth (VG-Ex); and ½ dozen miscellaneous others.
