The important and colorful 1958 Topps Baseball issue is offered here in a relatively wide condition range, roughly equal parts of Very Good, Excellent and Ex-Mt cards, representing approximately 88 percent of the whole set, with the remaining cards falling above (about a dozen) and below the range (about five dozen, mostly to Good). Included in the mix is a couple dozen extras, presumably from upgrading efforts, along with eight cards with autographs. The Hall of Famers and stars are sprinkled throughout the range as noted in the listing that follows, along with some important Rookie cards. The offering is a nice presentation of a classic late-1950’s Topps issue, arguably one of the more difficult ones to find in top grades because of a seemingly softer-than-traditional card stock. Overall, this set comes out to 24 percent Ex-Mt, 28 percent Excellent, 36 percent Very Good to VG-Ex and about 10 percent Good, with just handful of cards above and below the range.
