Presented is an attractive Houston Astros game-worn jersey from journeyman starter Wade Blasingame, who appears briefly for the Astros in 1972 toward the close of his 10-year major league career, after a notable career with Milwaukee/Atlanta and ultimately six seasons in Houston. The road knit has zipper front with tri-color (midnight navy/white/orange) braid sleeve striping and matching collar trim, with “Houston” in original orange-on-midnight navy tackle twill; Blasingame No. 36 and his name on the back is redone. The famed Astros disk patch on the left sleeve is original. While the shirt was originally a Blasingame 1972 road gamer, the jersey back had the number and NOB removed and changed, probably for spring training in 1973, and then later restored but with incorrect back number font. The original Spalding Professional labeling is on the back tail with 1972 and Size 44. Blasingame finished his 10-year career with a 46-51 log, a 4.52 ERA and 412 strikeouts.
