Offered is a standout Chicago White Sox game-worn jersey from All-Star outfielder Steve Kemp, who played one season in Chicago in an 11-year career with five teams. The grey pullover road cheesecloth knit has the navy/red V-neck, red/navy/red sleeve stripes and matching chest stripe pattern. “SOX” is across the front in white tackle twill; the NOB is in navy tackle twill, with outline of nameplate stitching remnants visible. The Major League Baseball 1983 All-Star Game embroidered patch is stitched to the left sleeve. Sand Knit dual labels are on the front trail with Size 44 and the back tail has “82 Kemp 44 1” team flap tag. Kemp had one of his finest seasons mid career in 1983, with 19 homers and a .286 batting average; for his career, with stints with the Tigers, White Sox, Yankees, Pirates and Rangers, Kemp had 130 home runs, 634 RBI and a .289 lifetime average.
