The difficult-to-assemble 1966 Topps Football set is represented here in an attractive grouping yielding almost a dozen Hall of Famers and constituting 59 percent of a complete set, found here in a relatively wide condition range of broadly Good to Near-Mint, with only a handful of cards below the range and the emphasis clearly from Excellent to Near-Mint. It’s an array that includes some of the most important names in the NFL in a condition-sensitive issue that mimics the unique television set design of 1955 Bowman Baseball. It comes out to 12 percent Near-Mint, 35 percent Ex-Mt, 19 percent Excellent, 15 percent Very Good and 13 percent Good, with just five cards below. The breakdown of keys: No. 1 – Very Good, 3 Buoniconti – VG, 26 Kemp – Ex-Mt, 45 Taylor – Excellent-Plus, 48 Blanda – Ex-Mt-Plus, 69 Bell – Ex-Mt-Plus, 67 Dawson – Fair, 95 Maynard – Ex-Plus, 96 Namath – VG, 108 Davidson – Ex-Plus, 127 Lincoln – Near-Mint and 131 Wright – Ex-Mt.
