Presented is an intriguing group of vintage Topps cards from the 1960s and 1970s and another group of 1970s Hostess and Kellogg’s cards, with the array broadly Excellent or better, with some above and below the range. A dozen 1971 Topps cards are headlined by the likes of Roberto Clemente, Willie Mays, Nolan Ryan and Rod Carew; Clemente also turns up in 1972 in his regular-issue card along with the In Action counterpart. Rookie cards from the Topps section include Andre Dawson’s 1977 card and the 1971 Ted Simmons Rookie. In the listing that follows, cards are the regular-issue version unless otherwise indicated. Here’s a breakdown: 1) 1969 Topps Rose All-Star No. 424 – Excellent-Plus; 2) 1971 Topps (12) – Clemente – Very Good-Plus, Mays – Good, Ryan – Good, Simmons Rookie – Good, plus Carew, Anderson, Tiant and four League Leaders; 3) 1972 Topps (5) – Clemente – VG, Clemente In Action – Ex-Mt-Plus, Aaron In Action – Good, Mays In Action – Ex-Mt, and Morgan; 4) 1974 Topps Killebrew – Ex-Mt; 5) 1975 Topps Morgan – Ex-Mt-Plus; 6) 1976 Topps (2); 7) 1977 Topps (14) – Dawson Rookie – Ex-Mt-Plus, Rose – Near-Mint, Seaver – Ex-Plus, Bench – VG and Munson – Good; 8) 1975-79 Hostess (49) – most nicely cut, same condition range, with a dozen Hall of Famers, including Bench (2), Morgan, Rose, Rice, Carew, Perry and Jenkins; and 9) 1971-77 Kellogg’s (27) – same condition range, with a few Fair, and a couple of Hall of Famers.
