Presented is an impressive game-worn Kansas City Royals batting helmet attributed to longtime Royals fan favorite Ed Kirkpatrick, a very desirable artifact that reveals considerable wear. The helmet has the interlocking “KC” logo on the front, with Kirkpatrick’s No. 8 on the outer bill and back in non-die cut stickers and “Kirkpatrick” under the bill in black Dyno type. The ABC Co. 7 ¼ and Pro Caps Sticker are inside, with the crown donut and headband intact. Kirkpatrick played for five teams in a notable MLB career from 1962-77, compiling a .238 lifetime average with 85 home runs and 424 RBI.
