1926 National League "Golden Jubilee" Presentation Baseball

Presented is a remarkable historical artifact from a 1926 Golden Jubilee Celebration of the National League, an event highlighted by a posh dinner at the Hotel Astor in New York City. At that elegant dinner on Feb. 2, 1926, attendees were given a boxed set of two baseballs and an elaborate, large-format dinner program. While one of the baseballs was designed for obtaining autographs, this Official National League ball boasts unique 1-inch in diameter sepia-toned portraits of all of the National League Presidents up to that point. The ball is in nice shape, with some of the expected toning and light grime; the eight NL Presidents pictured and affixed to one panel of the ball in 1-inch discs include Bulkeley, Hulbert, Mills, Young, Pulliam, Lynch, Tener and Heydler.
