Offered is an attractive example of the iconic Montreal Expos Bobbin Head Doll from the 1969-72 Gold Base Series, an Excellent specimen that boasts exceptional color and gloss. The seven-inch, round-base figure features an outstanding paint job, with barely a whisper of the dreaded chipping that is part and parcel of so many of these vintage treasures. There is some slight loss to the “M” decal on the cap. The original boxes is 3 ¼-by-7 ½ inches (3 ½ inches deep) and is in Excellent condition, revealing some minor scuffing and small tears and fraying to the edges. This is an important artifact commemorating the historic occasion of Major League Baseball coming to Canada, the first MLB team to be located outside the United States.
