Presented here is a nice example of the iconic 1954 Topps Baseball issue, the company’s revolutionary design that coupled a large portrait with a smaller action image, an element that would be frequently employed by Topps designers through the years. The fabled 1954 Topps issue boasts the Rookie card trifecta of Hank Aaron, Ernie Banks and Al Kaline, along with the unique situation of Ted Williams being depicted on both the first and last cards of the set. The offered set is basically Good to Excellent, with the emphasis to Very Good and a handful of cards above and below the range, with seven key cards slabbed by PSA: No. 1 Ted Williams – PSA 1.5, No. 10 Jackie Robinson – PSA 3 m/c, No. 90 Mays – PSA 1.5, No. 94 Banks PSA Authentic, No. 128 Aaron PSA Authentic, No. 201 Kaline Rookie – PSA 1.5 and 250 Ted Williams – PSA Authentic.
