This is a fascinating array of primarily vintage Topps baseball, laced with Hall of Famers (est. 150), stars and Specials, plus a similarly imposing group of mostly Topps peripheral issues, like Supers, Stamps, Scratch-Offs, Embossed, Deckles and Decals, yielding virtually a type-card bonanza of spectacular proportions. Toss in almost three dozen Exhibit cards from 1947 and 1977, plus a great big pile of about 400 pristine Kellogg’s 3-D classics and you've got a lot that begs for a good deal of close examination. Behold, a mightily comprehensive listing of what we have to offer. Topps cards from the early years of the 1960s are broadly Good to Very Good, with some above, improving a bit to perhaps Very Good to Excellent in the second half of the decade and then Excellent to Near-Mint for a large group of 1972 Topps Baseball, with some variation from that scheme noted below. The breakdown: 1) 1947-66 Exhibits (10) – Excellent to Ex-Mt and 1977 Hall of Fame Exhibits (21) – mostly Near-Mint or better; 2) 1957-60 Topps (65) – with many All-Stars, Combination cards, Teams and Managers; 3) 1961 Topps (66) – with Managers (22), eight Teams and Coaches; 4) 1962-63 Topps (82) – including Stengel and Uecker (3), plus Leaders, Teams and Specials; 5) 1964 Topps (41) – including Drysdale, Ford, Oliva, Snider (4) and Allen Rookie (4); 6) 1965 Topps (47) – including Marichal (2), Santo, Fox and seven Leaders; 7) 1966-67 Topps (57) – including Cepeda, Hodges, Ford, Jenkins Rookie, Santo and The Champs; 8) 1968 Topps (30) – including Carew, Stengel, Yastrzemski All-Star, Manager’s Dream and four League Leaders (two No. 1’s); 9) 1969 Topps (165) – including Stargell, Morgan, Hodges, Hunter, Williams, Niekro, Nettles Rookie, six All-Stars and six League Leaders (two No. 1’s); 10) 1971 Topps (147) – including Simmons Rookie (2), Blyleven Rookie, Oliva, Hodges, Marichal, Hunter (2), Brooks Robinson, McCovey, Anderson and Jenkins, plus five League Leaders and three Teams; 11) 1971 Topps Scratch-Offs (31) – mostly Excellent to Ex-Mt or better, with three Aarons; 12) 1971 Topps Supers (22) – mostly Near-Mint; 13) 1972 Topps (243) – including Fisk Rookie, Billy Williams, Yastrzemski (2), Morgan, Killebrew, Perez, Jenkins, Durocher, Santo, Ogilvie Rookie, two Checklists and 17 Team cards; 14) 1970s Kellogg’s (est. 400) – really nice mostly Near-Mint cards with perhaps only a couple of dozen with the customary cracking; 15) 1969 Topps Decals (24) – most removed from the backing; 16) 1961, 1962 and 1971 Topps Stamps (45) – including seven from 1961 (Maris), a dozen from 1962, including Mantle and four two-stamp intact panels, and a couple of dozen from 1971; and 17) Miscellaneous (85) – 1965 Embossed (16 - Good to Very Good), seven Post Cereal cards, two dozen cards from 1960 and 1961 Fleer Baseball Greats, 1961 Nu-Card Scoops (11) and 1969 Deckle Edge (11). Whew, that’s a lot of stuff!
