Mantle topped the 300 home run mark in 1960, while finishing second in the MVP race to teammate Roger Maris. Aside from possibly Willie Mays, who now played out of sight in California, there was no bigger star in baseball . . . and maybe no bigger star in all of sports than Mantle. “The Mick” exited the decade of the 1950’s no longer just a “ballplayer” but an icon. This one is graded PSA 7 and would upgrade most collections.
