Offered is an attractive example of the colorful, oversized 1970 Topps Basketball issue, found here in a consistent, largely Excellent to Near-Mint condition, with a handful of cards below and the emphasis to Excellent to Ex-Mt (61 percent). Three key cards have been third-party slabbed and graded: No. 50 Chamberlain – PSA 4.5, No. 75 Alcindor – PSA 3 and No. 123 Maravich Rookie – PSA 4. The complete set has an overall look that is compelling with crisp, vivid background colors and sharp orange spot color on exceptionally clean backs. About 15 percent have the kind of centering that might typically prompt thoughts of an upgrade, though not all of these would be severe enough to dictate a formal off-center designation. This was Topps’ second consecutive “Tall Boys” issue at 2 ½-by 4 11/16-inch cards.
