Presented is a simply incredible hoard of pristine, virtually as-issued cards from the 1969 O-Pee-Chee Hockey set, an array that features startling totals of individual cards from more than 30 different players, including some major stars of the era. The array is essentially Near-Mint to Near-Mint to Mint, blazing cards with exceptional color and gloss and a uniform presentation as imposing as the remarkable card totals. Here’s a breakdown of some of the largest groups (card totals are estimates): 1) (350) – Libbett Rookie, Ley Rookie; 2) (300) – Cherry, Dillabough, Backstrom and Ravlich; 3) (275) – Doak and Laughton Rookie; 4) (250) – Plager Rookie, Sutherland, Unger, Nanne Rookie, Hextall Rookie, Peters Rookie, Balon, McCreary, Broderick and Wall; 5) (200) – Kurtenbach, Pronovost Rookie, Tremblay, Caffrey Rookie, Provost, Polonic Rookie, Angotti, Johnson and Hughes Rookie; 6) (125) – Shack; and 7) (50) – LaRose.
