Offered is an extraordinary array of vintage non-sport cards from several important eras, an assortment that would delight a serious collector or even “type” card collector with its vastness and diversity. The array includes movie stars, airplanes, Western stars, memorable Toasts, Presidents, cricketers, military uniforms, tennis players, jockeys, sea creatures, space vehicles and a lot more. It’s an amazing, eclectic assortment that would make a significant impact to even the most extensive collection. We'll try to break it down as efficiently as possible, though the very vastness makes such a proposition daunting. The breakdown: 1) 1933 General Gum Movie Stars (8), R97-2, sepia-toned portraits (8), that present in Good to Very Good fashion but 7/8 have a small punch hole, and include Garbo, Arlen (2), Baxter and Cooper; 2) 1950s Western Stars (17), 2 ¼-by-3 ½ on thin paper stock, mostly Near-Mint, with some Ex-Mt; 3) 1909-10 Mogul Cigarettes Toast Series T112 (16), with a bit of duplication, most present decently but majority have small punch hole; 4) 1909 Murad Cigarettes College Series Postcards T94 Type 2 (25), 4 1/8-by-2 11/16 inches, present decently but with significant fold at the center, mostly Good with a couple Fair; 5) C. R. Putman Presidents cards (21), mostly present Fair to Good, with four or five Poor and balance with small punch hole – including Jefferson (Poor), Lincoln (Poor), Washington (Good), Grant (Poor), Adams, Jackson and Johnson; 6) large group (approx. 125 or so), mostly Fair to Good, with a few above and quite a few Poor, including Wills Cigarettes Cricketers, Churchman Kings of Speed, Goodies Robbers, Thieves and Pirates, Player and Sons Military Uniforms and Victoria Cross, Wills Cigarettes “Do You Know,” Lawn Tennis Celebrities (7 – Near-Mint), British Birds, International Airlines, History of Aviation (10 – Near-Mint), Famous Jockeys, Space Age Britain, Prehistoric Animals (10 – Ex-Mt to Near-Mint) and The Sea – Our Other World (12 – Ex-Mt to Near-Mint); and 7) Huge Group of 1940 Wings Cigarettes Airplanes (153 different), present Ex-Mt or better but virtually all have been cut down from expected 2 ½-by-1 ¾-inch size to 2 ¼-by-1 5/8 inches. Includes Series A (49/50) and Series B and C (complete at 50 each).
