Presented is an important empty case from 1970 Topps Baseball, a solid condition artifact that held 24 of the legendary 500-county vending boxes that have been a hallmark of the remarkable Fritsch inventory down through the years. The box is in Good condition, with some of the expected wear from handling, along with in-house pen or pencil markings; the fabled Topps mailing label addressing the case to the legendary Larry Fritsch in Stevens Point, Wis., is no longer present, but ample evidence of the Fritsch connection remains. That’s the kind of provenance that collectors like, linking an important Topps artifact to arguably the most prolific collector in hobby history.
