Offered is a nice condition empty case from 1978 Topps Football, a vintage classic that at one time boasted the presence of 15 boxes of 24 cello packs each that sold for a whopping 30-Cents each. The box is in a solid Ex-Mt-Plus condition, with some of the expected in-house pen or pencil markings; comes with a 7 ½-by-3 ½-inch Topps mailing label addressing the case to the legendary Larry Fritsch in Stevens Point, Wis. That’s the kind of provenance that collectors like, linking an important Topps artifact to arguably the most prolific collector in hobby history.
