Presented is an empty case from 1973-74 Topps Hockey, a solid condition artifact that held 24 of the legendary 500-county vending boxes that have been a hallmark of the remarkable Fritsch inventory down through the years. The box presents in Good condition, with some small tears at the bottom and with some of the expected in-house pen or pencil markings; comes with a 7 ½-by-3 ½-inch Topps mailing label addressing the case to the legendary Larry Fritsch in Stevens Point, Wis. That’s the kind of provenance that collectors like, linking an important Topps artifact to arguably the most prolific collector in hobby history.
