Presented is an enormous grouping of vintage Topps baseball dating from 1974-83, an array with literally hundreds of Hall of Famers, stars and Specials, and a heft that’s going to challenge the winning bidder and the postman alike. While the condition range can be wider from the early years of the 1970s, by the end of the decade it’s mostly Near-Mint and even beyond once the 1980s arrive. Here’s a breakdown: 1) 1974 (350) – Good to Excellent, with some above and below, with three dozen Hall of Famers, plus 75 Traded and about four dozen of the Red Team Checklists; 2) 1975 (150) – Excellent to Near-Mint, with some below, including 130 Hall of Famers, including Aaron (Good) and the Yount Rookie (Ex), plus 20 Specials, 21 MVP subset cards and a dozen Teams; 3) 1976 (100) – Very Good to Ex-Mt, with some Near-Mint; 4) 1977 (200) – Very Good to Near-Mint, with some below; 5) 1978 (325) – Ex-Mt to Near-Mint, including three Morris Rookies; 6) 1979 (150) – Ex-Mt to Near-Mint; 7) 1980 (1,700) – mostly Near-Mint or better; 8) 1981 (34) – Fernando, Mookie, Boddicker and Pena Rookies; 9) 1982 (125) – Ripken Rookie (Very Good); and 10) 1983 (4,400) – Near-Mint to Mint or better, hundreds of Hall of Famers, with notable duplication throughout.
