If you liked the 1980s (guilty as charged), you’ll love this enormous pile of pristine sets from that giddy decade, a weighty accumulation of about 32,000 handsome baseball cards, easily Near-Mint to Near-Mint to Mint, and with the emphasis clearly to the upper end of the spectrum. While everything is peachy for 39 of the 40 sets, one of the seven sets from 1981 is missing the Baines and Raines Rookies, plus cards of Kirk Gibson and a second-year Rickey Henderson. Here’s the breakdown (40): 1981 – seven sets; 1982 – 10 sets; 1983 – nine sets; 1985 – four sets; 1986 – eight sets; and 1989 – two sets.
