Presented is a pair of game-worn home Red Sox pants, cream flannels linked to standout reliever Vicente Romo, who labored for six major league clubs over an eight-year career. The pants reveal solid wear, with no side striping, zipper front with one button and two back pockets with no buttons. The manufacturer’s label is missing, but the outline of a McAuliffe label is visible; a team waistband tag is red-chain stitched with “24-34-26” in the waistband. Along with his eight-year major league career, Romo pitched for a total of 25 seasons in Mexico from 1962-86, winding up with his induction in 1992 to the Mexican Professional Baseball Hall of Fame.
