This is an imposing group of mostly minor-league jerseys, some truly attractive pieces from a number of well-known destinations in the bushes. Here’s the breakdown: 1) 1975 Jim Gideon Tucson Toros road light-blue knit jersey, with red/white/blue collar and sleeve trim and two-button front. “Texas” has been removed from the front and replaced with “Tucson”; the original No. 39 is on the back, with “Gideon” visible from the inside with remnants and covered with the blank nameplate. The Rawlings Size 46 label appears at the front outer tail. Gideon wore No. 39 and pitched one game for the Rangers as a September call up in 1975; 2) Mid-Late 1970s Tidewater Tides game-worn road grey knit, with royal-blue collar and button-path piping on seven-button front. Collar and button path have grey lining on the interior; identifiers are in royal-blue on orange tackle twill. Wilson-made jersey has collar flap tags with Size 44 and washing instructions. The shirt shows solid wear likely over a couple of years; 3) 1978-79 Tidewater Tides game-worn home pullover jersey, cheesecloth knit with round-neck collar with orange/white/blue trim accents on the collar and sleeve ends. “Tides” is arched vertically in orange-on-blue tackle twill, with extensive wear and fading, most notably on the No. 4 on the back on the orange tackle twill. The large Sand Knit label is glued to the left-front tail (Size Large); 4) 1979-80 Oklahoma City 89ers game-worn road jersey, red knit with navy/white/navy V-neck collar, with interlocking “OKC” logo on the left chest in white-on-navy tackle twill. The No. 6 has been removed from the back, with outline remnants still visible; the nameplate has been removed from the back, again with remnants visible. The Wilson Size 44 label appears at the collar; 5) Three (3) 1980 Oklahoma City 89ers batting practice warm up jerseys, with the jersey body a thin blue mesh, sporting Nos. 15, 19 and 23, and crossover ribbed knit V-neck with white/blue/white accents, sleeve-end braid in the same fashion and screened-on logos revealing extensive degradation of surface material. The Bike labels appear at the collars; 6) 1980s Appleton Foxes game-worn jersey, with ribbed knit blue V-neck collar and blue mesh body. It has the three-color/five stripe neck-to-sleeve end shoulder accents, with open sleeves and interlocking “AF” logo with baseball motif on the left chest, screened in three colors. The No. 24 on the back is sewn on in poly-twill with loose zig-zag stitching. The collar label is indecipherable from excessive wear; 7) 1983-85 San Jose Bees game-worn home jersey, with stretch-ribbed knit and navy/yellow/navy V-neck collar. “Bees” and the logo are screened onto the jersey front in royal blue and yellow, with royal/yellow/royal sleeve stripe accents. Medalist Sand Knit Size Medium labeling is at the tail; 8) Wausau Timbers game-worn road jersey, grey knit pullover with 7/8-inch ribbed-knit V-neck, 1 ¾-inch neck-to-sleeve edge striping in blue/yellow/blue. It has sewn-on identifiers front and back in triple layers, with considerable puckering on the numerals and solid label wear on Rawlings Size 44 on the tail, with flap tag of “Set 1 1986”; 9) 1986 Chattanooga Lookouts game-worn road light-blue knit, with 5/8 inch ribbed-knit V-neck and 2-inch neck-to-shoulder striping and two-color script “Lookouts” on the front and triple-color numerals. There is no NOB and the back No. 2 has a tear; the shirt shows solid wear. Rawlings Size 44 label is on the left-front side seam; and 10) 1980s Northwestern University game-worn road grey knit has the seven-button front, with cotton inner collar and button-path lining. Identifiers are in purple-on-white tackle twill. The Wilson Size 42 label is at the collar; the shirt shows solid one or two-year college season wear.
