Presented is a cool group of game-worn pants from the 1970-71 Detroit Tigers, pieces linked to Tom Timmerman, Daryl Patterson and possibly Dennis Saunders. The cream-colored home pants have the zipper front with single button at the top and the two-button back pockets. Two of the three pair have names written in marker along the waistband; the pants were likely used in the minors after major-league service. The Timmerman pants have the Wilson Size 36 label, along with team swatch of “28-27-71-1,” with no marking on the waistband. The Wilson label appears on the Patterson pants, with “43-26-70-1” team swatch tag and name marked on the waistband. The final pair has Wilson Size 38 label, with “46-25-71-1” with most likely linkage to Saunders, who appeared in eight games for the Tigers in 1970.
