Offered is a nice pair of the Chicago White Sox Bobbin Head Dolls from the 1967-72 Gold Base Series and a Cleveland Indians doll from the Green Base Series. The White Sox figures are in Ex-Mt and Good condition, with both figures boasting good color and gloss. The seven-inch, round-base figures feature an attractive paint job, with the first figure nearly problem-free (only a miniscule nick on the neck) and the second displaying only a modest amount of the dreaded chipping that is part and parcel of so many of these vintage treasures, with virtually all of this to the brim of the cap and to a lesser extent to the gold base. There is some loss to the “Sox” decal on the cap in both instances, to the “White Sox” decal across the front of the shirt and the “Chicago” decal on the gold base of the lesser figure only. The popular Cleveland Indians Bobbin Head Doll from the 1967-72 Green Base Series is a Very Good specimen featuring the famed Indians mascot that boasts exceptional color and gloss and an outstanding paint job, exhibiting very little of the dreaded chipping. That observation applies particularly to noticeably pristine and unmolested decals of “Indians” across the chest and “Cleveland” at the front of the green base. It has some noticeable cracking and light chipping of the chin area.
