But that very same bidder winds up with a vast, important library of many of the most iconic and beloved baseball books dating back to the turn of the century. The books are pretty uniformly in outstanding condition, seemingly having been subjected to a single reading or minimal usage, with most of the books being hardcovers and many with attractive dust covers in the same pristine condition. Touching on many of the legendary moments in the game in the 19th and 20th centuries, along with involving dozens of Hall of Famers and the great stars over the same span, the roster includes biographies and autobiographies, massive research tomes, classic instructional and motivational volumes and comprehensive examinations of great teams, leagues, ballparks and more.
