This is an impressive array of vintage bobbin head dolls, including two figures from the Eagles in the 1960s and 1970s, plus the Giants and the Jets. We'll start with the colorful 1968 Philadelphia Eagles Bobbin Head Doll from the 7 ½-inch, Gold Base Series, a striking figure that presents in Ex-Mt fashion, virtually devoid of the pesky paint chipping that so often confronts this issue. There is some minor dirt on the Gold Base, a tiny nick to the helmet and even smaller nicks to the “Eagles” decal on the chest, “00” on the right shoulder and “Philadelphia” on the base. The delicate metal faceguard is present and intact. The second Eagles figure is from the 1970s 7 ½-inch plastic figure series with Gold Base. This one boasts an outstanding paint scheme virtually devoid of any of the dreaded chipping. The colors are particularly vivid, most notably the verdant Eagles green, and the gloss is excellent; in an otherwise problem-free figure, there is some minor loss to the famed Eagles Wings decals on the front of the helmet. The 1968 Giants Bobbin Head Doll from the 7 ½-inch, Gold Base Series is a striking figure that presents in Near-Mint fashion, virtually devoid of the pesky paint chipping; there is some minor dirt and spotting on the Gold Base, a tiny nick to the “NY” on one side of the helmet. The delicate metal faceguard is present and intact. The final piece is a repaired example of the 1968 New York Jets Bobbin Head Doll from the 7 ½-inch, Gold Base Series (with original box), a figure that presents in VG-Ex fashion but has had significant repairs at the shoes, with some visible chipping and cracks remaining visible. There are some of the not uncommon nicks and cracking to the bottom of the face piece that typically can only be spotted by holding the figure at eye level or even upside down. The paint job is quite good, with sharp, vivid colors, with only some barely perceptible light chipping on the jersey collar. The delicate metal faceguard is present and intact. The eight-inch original box is in Ex-Mt condition, with just a bit of fraying of the cardboard edges and a couple of tiny tears.
