This is an impressive array of vintage bobbin head dolls and the original boxes, including the Patriots, Chargers, Bills, Oilers and Bucs. We'll start the 1968 Patriots Doll from the 7 ½-inch, Gold Base Series, a striking figure that presents in Ex-Mt fashion, with just a whisper of light chipping to a couple of spots on the gold base and some of the not uncommon nicks and cracking to the bottom of the face piece. The paint job is superb, with blazing, vivid colors, including a nice white helmet and crisp red jersey; the iconic Patriots’ logo decals on each side of the helmet are similarly outstanding, as is the “Patriots” decal on the jersey. Interestingly, the red-and-blue striping on the helmet is without incident but appears to have been placed on top of the green-and-orange Miami Dolphins striping, which is only visible with careful examination. The delicate metal faceguard is present and intact. The eight-inch original box is in Ex-Mt condition, with just a bit of fraying of the cardboard edges and a couple of tiny tears on the top flap above the color image piece. The Tampa Bay Bucs Doll is also from the seven-inch, Gold Base Series, a striking plastic figure that presents in Good fashion, with virtually none of the dreaded paint chipping that so commonly afflicts these dolls; there is excessive chipping to the famed Bucs logo on both sides of the helmet, to the point of almost being gone. The figure displays well, with particularly vivid orange uniform colors; the iconic NFL logo sticker is affixed to the base. The eight-inch Official NFL Box is Excellent, with a small piece of tape present. The 1968 Buffalo Bills Bobbin Head is likewise from the 7 ½-inch, Gold Base Series, a colorful figure that presents in Near-Mint fashion, boasting a simply superb paint job, with bold, vivid colors and barely a whisper of chipping to the gold base; some of the not uncommon nicks and cracking to the bottom of the face piece are barely perceptible and typically can only be spotted by holding the figure upside down. The delicate metal faceguard is present and intact. The eight-inch original box is in a similarly impressive Ex-Mt condition, with hardly any of the typical fraying of the cardboard edges or tiny tears. The Chargers figure from the 7 ½-inch, Gold Base Series presents in Ex-Mint fashion but does have a significant ½-inch dent to the white helmet, with just a whisper of light chipping to a couple of spots on the figure itself; even the not-uncommon nicks and cracking to the bottom of the face piece are almost non-existent in this rare figure and barely perceptible and typically can only be spotted by holding the figure upside down. The paint job is excellent, with sharp, vivid colors, including on the famed Chargers powder blue jersey; the iconic Chargers’ lightning bolt logo decals on each side of the helmet are without incident, as are the bolts decals on the shoulder pads and “Chargers” across the front of the jersey. The delicate metal faceguard is present and intact. The eight-inch original box is in Very Good condition, with a small bit of minor paper loss on one panel and just a bit of fraying of the cardboard edges and a couple of tiny tears. The final piece is the Oilers Bobbin Head Doll from the 7 ½-inch, Gold Base Series, a figure that presents in Near-Mint fashion, with almost none of the dreaded chipping to the jersey, pants or delicate gold base that typically confronts this issue. There is a tiny chip from the silver on the back of the helmet; even the not-uncommon nicks and cracking to the bottom of the face piece are almost non-existent in this rare figure and barely perceptible and typically can only be spotted by holding the figure upside down. The paint job is excellent, with sharp, vivid colors, including on the famed Oilers blue jersey; the iconic Oilers derrick decals on each side of the helmet are without incident, as is the “Oilers” decal across the front of the jersey. The delicate metal faceguard is present and intact. The eight-inch original box is a matching Ex-Mt condition, with just a bit of fraying of the cardboard edges and a couple of tiny tears.
