Offered is an impressive grouping of the popular 1968 Bobbin Head Doll Gold Base Series, an assortment that features the Dolphins, Raiders, 49ers and Chiefs and includes the original box for each. We'll start with the Dolphins, a handsome figure that presents in Fair fashion, with some chipping to the famed Dolphins logo on both sides of the helmet and to the bottom of the face piece. There is also some damage to the left shoulder, minor nicks to the helmet stripe, the “Dolphins” decal on the chest and the “00” decal on the back. The delicate metal faceguard is present and intact. The eight-inch original box is in Good condition. The Raiders figure presents in Ex-Mt-Plus fashion, with just a whisper of light chipping to a couple of spots on the gold base; some of the not uncommon nicks and cracking to the bottom of the face piece are barely perceptible and typically can only be spotted by holding the figure upside down. The paint job is excellent, with sharp, vivid colors, including on the famed silver helmet and crisp Raiders black jersey; the iconic Raiders’ logo decal on the right side of the helmet has a couple of small nicks. The delicate metal faceguard is present and intact. The eight-inch original box is in Excellent condition, with just a bit of fraying of the cardboard edges and a couple of tiny tears. The 49ers Bobbin Head presents in VG-Ex fashion, with just a whisper of light chipping to a couple of spots on the gold base and even tinier nicks on the figure itself; some of the not uncommon nicks and cracking to the bottom of the face piece typically can only be spotted by holding the figure at eye level or even upside down. The paint job is generally excellent, with sharp, vivid colors, jostled only by some difference in the gloss on the famed gold helmet. The delicate metal faceguard is present and intact. The eight-inch original box is in Excellent condition, with just a bit of fraying of the cardboard edges and a couple of tiny tears. The final piece is a Chiefs Bobbin Head that presents in Good fashion with almost none of the dreaded chipping to the high-gloss paint job, boasting vivid Chiefs red and snow-white pants. There are some of the not-uncommon nicks and cracking to the bottom of the face piece that in this instance include a one-inch crack that extends from the bottom of the helmet. The delicate metal faceguard is present and intact. The eight-inch original box is a matching Good condition, with just a bit of fraying of the cardboard edges and more significant length-wise tear on one side.
