From the granddaddy of all baseball card issues comes this T206 White Border Christy Mathewson Dark Cap card, one of the absolute key cards from the legendary set, found here in an SGC Authentic (Evidence of Trim) holder. Even with the cut shortening the card at the top with no border, it still provides a nice presentation with the pastel blue and green background that so effectively sets off the Mathewson Dark Cap image. One of three Mathewson variations in the fabled issue, this example has only minimally rounded corners; the Piedmont 350 Back reveals some light staining and toning, along with significant paper loss that touches perhaps 25 percent of the surface area.
