From the granddaddy of all baseball card issues comes this T206 White Border Ty Cobb Red Background, one of many important key cards from the legendary set, found here in an SGC Authentic holder, noting Evidence of Trimming; the legendary Cobb has received ruder treatment here than he typically encountered as the biggest star of his day. One of four Cobb varieties in the fabled issue and the second-most difficult of the four, this Red Background example has decent centering left to right and less so top to bottom, with the Evidence of Trimming and significant wear to the edges clouding the issue. The Piedmont 350 back reveals the same damage to the edges, along with notable staining and some paper loss.
